That's not true. I know a shop owner who got his S14 Kouki SR impounded after he swapped the dash because the VIN matched a salvage titled car so they thought it was stolen.

so far in my experiences florida cops don't care. i've never had one of them even look at the vin # on my dash.

that being said, i "may have" swapped the vin from my old green dash when I converted my interior to black. i don't see how anyone would ever be able to tell the difference... it's riveted just like the factory ones. no big deal.
