The 7M-GTE was available in Japan, also. It was cheaper than the 1JZ-GTE, less power, more torque. I forget what the name of the trim level was (they didn't have just "base" and "turbo")

It's called an MA70 with the 7M-G BTW... or a GA70 with the 1G-GTE.
