Driveshaft issues?

Alright. So 3 days ago im taking my welded out to throw in the vlsd. I get the welded out. Fuckin 2 fucked up axels. But back to my problem.

Its a j30 vlsd. 6 bolt. last time i put this diff in there were no problems at all. I used to have blown motor mounts and Tranny mount. And recently replaced them with Peak Tranny mount and cusco motor mounts. When i last installed the diff. The j30 vlsd is a tad longer so i just pushed the drive shaft back a little. and everything was fine. My car used to be automatic and im pretty sure it still has a auto driveshaft. When getting the diff in there was no play in the drive shaft and it took alot of effort to get the diff in. Literally the flange on the diff and the driveahaft are like pressed together with no room. As i drove the car down the street there was alot of noise under the car. When i gave acceleration the car felt like it was gettin held back and there was some burning smell under the car.

I now have the car on jackstands in the garage with the 2 back wheels off the ground. When i turn the car on and pretend like im driving i give the car gas and once the clutch is engaged or i let off the gas the tires completely stop moving. It feels like there being held back. I got out of the car turned it off. and tried spinning one tire with my hands but it took alot of effort. Tommy said maybe the driveshaft is binding on something.

I wonder if i might need a manual driveshaft cuz the auto one is longer.

Any ideas? thanks.
