here's just a cell phone pic of the new setup... since i had to replace the oil pump, i sold the gt28r and installed the gt2871 gt28r style...

91 KA24DE rebuilt with .020" over Wiseco 9:1 pistons stock rods Clevite 77 main/rod bearings ARP head studs/rod bolts Cometic 1mm head gasket head rebuilt to factory specs GT28R w/external wastegate SSAC bottom mount manifold Ebay turbo elbow, DP, intercooler and piping 370cc injectors stock MAF S13 ECU with EFI Specialist ROM tune 1G DSM bypass valve MSD Blaster coil NGK wires NGK BKR7E plugs stock fuel pump and Aeromotive EFI inline pump Centerforce stage II clutch JDM S13 VLSD rear differential Optima redtop battery relocated in the trunk 2. post how long it has lasted Been going strong for over 20K now 3. numbers you've made on the dyno have not gone yet 4. what and why it blew up (if applicable) Originally when I bought the car it was running the same turbo setup on the stock motor with nothing more than the Aeromotive inline pump and stock pump, stock injectors, and a Vortech FMU. Motor popped due to lack of timing control. 5. experiences, thoughts (pros, cons) Very nice and responsive, feels like a large V6. Torque on demand with very minimal lag, good on gas. Turbine inlet is probably a restriction at some point, only run 12 psi. |

I upgraded the turbo this year ran the summer season. So far so good. .040 over 9:1 custom lightened JE pistons. Carillo rods nissan motorsports bearings Random T3 turbo i won, Ebay top mount manifold 38mm tial wastegate 3 inch turboback exhaust custom short route ic piping and ebay intercoller. sard 555 inj walbro 255 pump. stock cams, stock head, stock throttle, stock intake mani. new oem headbolts oem headgasket tuned by JWT power : 411whp on dynapack at 1.5 bar boost. same torque did one event on it so far and it rips. peak torque i believe was at 3750 rpm and it holds all the way to almost 6k then hp only drops to 380 at redline. JWT is working on cams for the KA that actually work. but gotta step up my fuel system first. ![]()
