Attaching muffler to my catback

So I bought a 2.5inch custom catback w/ resonator and 4" tip.. Right after I bought it I dumped the fart cannon and now it rattles around 3k RPM.. or has for years now

Anyways i'm tired of it.. but how should I go about attaching a muffler to this catback? Can I buy any muffler and get it custom fitted to my resonator? muffler is bolted on it, they are seperate sections

Hopefully this makes sense, also will take suggestions on a cheap and fairly quiet muffler.

thanks

I guess the main issue is the current muffler is fitted to the resonator.. no problem getting it welded on, but it's not going to fit and exit the same way if you catch my meaning.

Bump,

Also Magnaflows are rather cheap and should weld on quite easy.. Parts store dude says bolting up the 2.25 magnaflow to my 2.5 resonator/piping might make it sound like ass.. any truth to this?

Or you can buy my brand new apexi muffler for $300 and bolt it right back on , although the inlet on the muffler I think is 3.5" so that wouldn't work out too well...haha.

I think bolting up the 2.25 to the 2.5 piping would just make it a whinier pitch. More "honda sounding" if you will.

Yeah that could be true.. I didn't see a 2.5 magnaflow that I could bolt on. I like the sound of my muffler, too bad the baffle is loose fuuu
