same as how "bro" has nothing to do with ethnicity, it refers to a dress type and a "style". even tho most "bros" are white boys, i don't see that as being ethnically based, same as how i don't see *snip* as being ethnically based. the majority of *snip* may be italian, but i'm sure there are plenty of other people with non-italian backgrounds who fit that "style".

The very first episode of the show they identify that they are *SNIP* and that it's a lifestyle of excess and whatnot. Being Italian is only one part of it.
