Anybody using MAX ruca with Tein Coilovers?

Looking to order the complete MAX multi link set up for my s13. A customer complained that there were issues with fitment with Tein Coil overs and the MAX ruca. I email MAX and received this reply:

basically we designed it to have loads of clearance for anything out there but someone complained that had teins

I have no idea what their ride height settings or alignment settings were - did not see a picture - but apparently there is a problem with tein although there is a possibility that the settings on that particular car were not helping the clearance

for example the ruca is designed to go on lowered cars with about -1* camber
but if you tried to do massive negative camber or ride high it would not promote good clearance.

I never really thought much about it because most customers that come here sell their teins for our coilovers anyhow.

Im sure this completely undefinitive answer does not help you make a decision but that's the truthful course of events.

Can anybody verify that there is issues with fitment? I'd really like to go with MAX if I can, but wanted to double check with anyone that may be using Tein Coil overs with the MAX ruca.
Thanks....

I've been talking with Dan over at Max and we are both pretty confident that the ruca should work. I sent him pictures of my set up to get an idea of spacing and such.

wait, what? does this just apply to cars with tein coilovers?

because i thought obm stuff was designed for cars that practically drag the frame rails

I had a set of Battle Version RUCA for S14 from my old car and tried fitting it onto the S13 but it had major clearance issues.

If the PBM ones have more clearance than the Battle Version ones I think it should be ok.

You probably had them on the wrong side. They are interchangable, it just makes it easier to change out the camber arm or the strut and spring assembly on a s14 because its only a half circle, not a full circle like a 13.

I have Tein super drifts, I talked to dan and he said a customer had the same ones and had to remove the helper springs. I decided to go a different route however that is an option!
