I would Be very interested in organizing a way for east coast guys to meet up in the Midwest. I live in Springfield MO which is about as central as you can get and route 44 goes right through the middle of Springfield. Only problem is I'm not 100% I will be driving. This is a financial issue with me. But I will find out soon enough and would be willing to help caravan rondevu meet up in any way. Maybe a steak-n-shake meet we have one right on 44 in the middle of town.

We are really leaving it up to the Caravans to work this stuff out themselves.
Through this forum, other major 240 forums, and local forums.

I will also be contacting the head organizer of each caravan down the road.
I will be needing photo and video media from each caravan.
Parts of it will be used in the Video/Documentary from the 2010 convention.

i would suggest trying to keep the routes as direct as possible.
Also keep them through fairly populated areas.
(in case of car trouble, or needing more hotels)
It is alot of driving and can get dangerous after 12 to 14 hours on the road.
The last thing we want is any kind of accident on your way here.
So please keep safety, vehicle liability and traffic laws in mind when planning your routes.

I hope a lot of you can make this.
Its gonna be an amazing event to be part of, and wont be done again for quite sometime.
grab life by the reigns, and go on an adventure with your peers that share your interest.
Bring your sleeping bags and air matresses.

um no. i'm not mad at anyone. i was merely pointing out the facts. as for wannabe drifters helping create an aftermarket for parts, that's debatable. i imagine they did help, but there were already parts out there before the whole drift craze. as for how old school i am, i bought my s14 brand new. there are not many here (or anywhere that can make that statement.) the only screen name i've ever used was fos240. i just recently joined this forum (dec). i was on the amarok email list and 240's over atlanta when the 02 convention was created. afterwards i joined fresh alloy. then carolina nissans and ka-t.org. i've never been banned, and i don't forget emails or passwords.

i went to the 01 UNON (united nations of nissan) meet in kc, the 02 convention, the 03 convention, and i was signed up for the 04 convention but it got canceled. by far the most enjoyable was the 02. it was definitely worth the drive. i am not hating on the convention nor anyone hosting or attending the convention. i hope the convention is successful. i was merely stating the reasons i don't think the turnout will be as successful as in 02.

maybe when my apprenticeship starts ill be able to rake in the funds to come. its definitely something id love to do. im a little new to the 240 community but i must say i love it and id love to meet some of you. kinda funny, i was at the Chicago auto show today and i thought about this. hopefully ill be able to make it.

It just didnt work out for the venues. The end of summer seemed to fit a lot better for people coming and for the venues as well.

Yes, PLEASE keep safety in mind for this! I wouldn't want anything tragic happening on the way to or from (heck even during) the event!
