Im currently in this situation. Ive been in the market for a newer vehicle, but its just hard for me to let go my passion for the 240sx. Ive been on the fence about buying a truck or a new 370Z. But then i start to think about the payment bullshit, insurance, reg, maint, etc . . . and wonder once again if its worth it? At this point, im just thinking about building (yet) another 240 - lol One for track, One for daily. And stay happy with spending money on Modifications, and not interest & insurance. |

guards red Porsche 964 C2. so no awd bullshit, no turbo. just 240hp, narrow bodied 911. gold BBS', coilovers and the loudest exhaust i can find.
![]() they go for $20-25k right now with low miles. (89-94) then i'd DD an E46. i am partial to imola red. ![]() i plan on keeping my E30 though. and i'd like to DD a W210 on monoblocks and springs until i can get an M3 to daily.

I would buy a Q45 or a 300E(it would so get an LS7) to daily and have money to do what I want with my 240sx. I didn't buy this car because it was cheap(which it was) but because it was the car I wanted.

My true love in the automotive world is pre-'73ish American cars, so, I'd be into that. My dream car is a '56 Buick Special, so I'd build one of those. No chop, frenched/shaved everything, big block, straight pipes, air bags, proper paint (some sort of deep, dark red), etc...
I'd love to have a C5 Z06 and a Lotus Exige. If I suddenly started making 70k a year (lol), I'd keep the S13, but it would no longer be my DD, and it'd go into the garage for proper resto-modification. |

I'd be picking up a Lexus 460L, and a 70 240z. I wish infiniti had a full size luxury car that appealed to me.
I'd still keep the S14 though, it would just be driven on weekends or odd days. |

I faced this issue
decided to do the sensible thing and buy a house I still can afford a new(er) car but common sense or lack there of makes me hesitate I go back and forth all the time right now I seriously thinking about a 350z or g35 I would probably get rid of one of the S13s s13 hatch plus s14 and a nice daily... hmmmm... sounds right to me ... or get a 240z............. |

saying that i had everything else i wanted at the time , and a fun car was next on the list of priorities . i would sell the s13 or part out (which ever heald the highest proffit) and i would buy a used 2005-2007 aston martin v8 vantage coupe . i see them on ebay for arround 60k . if i saved for a few years i could have 75% paid off and have a few mods as well . mainly factory upgraded exhaust and ecu tune brings the power to a bout 450ish and finish off with a nice set of wheels .
i will own one in the next ten years |

Shoot my houses would be built! with ultra built 30 car garages each garage for each house will have 30 cars from each company. IE: One house will be the nissan house, the next house will be the bimmer house, etc.

And the scenario was 5-15K more a year. Lets be realistic. Some of these choices will STILL be outta your budget. |

Mm, another 240SX as a track car...I'd rather track a cheap car if at all possible. Even with an E36 costs just skyrocket for both the car build and in case of junking the chassis.
Street car- Z4M coupe would be cool, the S54 engine is nice but E46 M3s don't do it for me. That unique body and simple interior is all I need. I agree with the Cayman S thing too, would have to see how costs between the Z4M and the Cayman stack up. And drive both. I've always liked NSXs and FDs, might be fun to own both for a while and then flip. There's so many great cars out there that I can't really justify holding onto a street car for too long. A project car that you invest time and money into is another matter, of course. 911 GT3 at some point eventually, but it might be a while before I can swing that. Depends how the depreciation curve looks, and if I'd be willing to "settle" for the ugly 996s. |
