![]() I have an 95 s14 and im keeping my ka and turbocharging it, i just wanted to know what i can do to give me alittle higher rev limit. i plan on drifting the car too

You can have the rev limiter removed by a tuning company that does ECU work (Jim Wolf). In terms of safely increasing the redline you would have to get into engine internals...
What does increasing redlin ehave to do with drifting? |

you can destroke it and/or get a fully counterbalanced crankshaft. That is if you want to raise your rev limit significantly. Although this may be overkill for most people.

you could use stock cams up to a higher rev limit, but you wouldn't get much gain with them. if you don't upgrade the valve springs you'll start floating valves and ruin your engine.
if you only want to hit 7500 or 8000 rpm you would probably be fine just upgrading the cams and valve springs.
