G35/350Z brembos
ok so i know there are probably a lot of threads out there about this problem but i honestly cant find them. i got a deal on G35brembos with pads, rotors and want to put it on my s14. i know that the fronts will bolt right up and fit perfectly. but idk about the back. what lines do i need to buy to make them work? do i need z32 line? and can i use the G35 rotors? i know ima get flamed a lot for posting this but i just need a definite, straight to the point answer. if you guys can then lmk thanks a lot.

you need an adapter to fit, but you can use z32 calipers + z33 brembo rotors + caliper spacer to get it to be super nice

according to this you dont need a bracket(for the front). http://zilvia.net/f/tech-talk/122707...on-brakes.html, found that in less than a minute.

Sti and Evo brembo will work with an adaptor bracket. 350z and G35 brembo will work but you need to drill the caliper mounting holes on your knuckle. You can use 300zx lines on the brembos. The stock banjo brake lines on the 350z will work too. And with 350z or g35 brembo, you use the 350z track edition rotors.

FWIW 350Z track edition Brembo's are pretty heavy calipers. Unless you are just down for the Brembo bling factor. You could sell those for good money, toss some cash on top and get Wilwoods which are light as hell.

for the 350z/g35 brembo swap, all you need to do is drill your knuckles to 14mm and use the g35/350z brembo rotors and the calipers bolt right up, and you use the s14 ss brake lines that use the banjo bolt style hoses.
you only need the brackets for the evo8/9 brembro calipers and the sti brembo calipers i have the evo 8 brembos on my s14 ![]() |

Make sure you have the brackets the right way. Try every combination you can. It took me a while to get it right but it works. I can't remember how I have it now either. The improvement is phenominal.

U can also use the 350z track edition Brembo rotors up front you need the Z32 calipers, they have to be 30mm tho (u also need the conversion brake lines of course), and they should fit perfectly fine with out a bracket, on the 26mm however you do need a bracket, nice set up for the big brake look.. But that brake set up you wanna run is freakin baller, post some pics of it when done.........

350Z rotors are bigger than 300zx rotors. It's physics. As for a rear solution like the OP was asking about, the 350Z/g35 brembos do not bolt up. Someone could correct me, but the easiest choice for rear brembos installation wise would be BNR34/33 rears. They are also brembos - the 33's were black, the 34's were gold, and they bolt right up I think. Unfortunately, complete sets of BNR33/BNR34 brembos are ridiculously expensive, plus you'd have to ship them from Japan. There was a thread about using EVO or STI brembos in rear, dig that up. More work is required, though, depending on what rotor you want to use. It sounds like all you care about is: 1) using these brembo fronts that you got for cheap and 2) finding rear brembos to match and not finding the best possible braking solution for the price. The answer is therefore not going to be good. U'll either have to do some research and work to get EVO/STI brembos to work in rear, or drop mad cash on GTR stuff the best solution, like drift freaq said, is to sell your calipers. If you don't need a brake up grade, pocket the cash and be glad you made a profit If you need more stopping power, get wilwood. Bang for the buck. |

For the rear, use STi brembo calipers with Z32 rotors/e-brake stuff. It all bolts right up.

sorry for stealing this but im doing big brake upgrade in my s14 that involved 350z track edition rotors,30mm z32 aluminium calipers, custom lines from enjuku racing,JSK adapter.
the problem is i cant figure out the extra banjo/rings that come if you buy jsk adapter.i know they located somewhere between caliper and adapter or between spindles and caliper in order to get rotors perfectly straight with calipers. ![]() ![]() |

my old car:
FULL R33 GTR brembo's front and rear with s14 5 lug conversion. -dba r33 gtr rotors, hawk hps pads, spl brake lines -complete and total bolt-on using r33 caliper bolts to s14 front spindle and z32 rear spindle. the only caveat is the r33 caliper bolts are too long so i spaced them correctly with a stack of 3 matching sized washers. or you could cut the r33 bolts shorter. your best bet for aftermarket rotors is DBA (disc brake australia). check out their website for fitment/rotor size differences. their data is accurate and you can see that there is indeed a difference between z32, z33, and gtr rotor size/thickness. for reference i originally tried to fit a 30mm aluminum z32 caliper with JSK brackets to my s14 spindles using the r33 gtr rotor. it did not work. the hat offset is different between r33 gtr and z33 rotors even though they are the same diameter and thickness size. if you buy aftermarket make sure you get the right rotor for your application. optionzero has made some valid points that you should hinder. the best (and easiest) solution for matching rear brembos is a gtr setup, being r32 gtr vspec2/r33 gtr/r34 gtr specifically. yes a z32 rotor would "work" in the rear with an sti caliper however it is technically undersized and would oversweep the rotor just as a z32 caliper with bracket would not fully sweep a z33 track rotor. it's your car and just something to think about. the best OEM bolt on option for your 240 is a true skyline gtr brembo setup. however a full z32 setup with good pads/tires is probably as much stopping power as your 240 ever needs. |

![]() if that doesn't get your caliper oriented correctly then you need to space it with whatever method you find applicable to get your caliper to mount like this: ![]() hope that helps you specifically. |

EDIT: I read that wrong. I get what you're saying now. It's a pretty negligible technicality though don't you think?

basically the pad would not fully sweep the z32 rear rotor with an sti caliper. same as the pad on the z32 caliper does not fully sweep the front z33 track rotor. yes i would consider it a negligible technicality but it is something to consider when you mix and match different brake setups. |

Is it possible to retain the Z32 ebrake if you use a Z33 rear rotor with Z33 rear caliper that is mounted via bracket...
Curious why people are willing to run the front calipers with a bracket (evo 8/9) but act like it is a big deal to do one for the rears ? Big love..D |
