Probably OEM style, not OEM. If you don't replace them right off the bat, you will be within a year or so (most likely).

I've seen and experienced many different Ichiba hubs. The bearings suck. Best thing to do is purchase them, and then press in OEM bearings.

mine went after about a year of modest driving. However i did not know OEM bearings could be used. This certainly saves me some cash. i like how ichiba talks them up like they are built from unobtanium.

As the bearings go bad, I'm replacing them with OEM bearings. Next bearing I'm going to open up and replace the grease with higher quality grease made for track abuse.

S13 guys can press in new bearings in the front but S14s and all rear hubs have integral bearings which cannot be pressed.

People can take out the inner shield on the S14 fronts and regrease them with a better grease such as Neo Synthetic or Amsoil 2000 which is what I plan on doing later tonight.

I don't think you can do the same on the rears which kind of sucks because I think mine are beginning to dry up.

Most important thing to bearing life is making sure the hubs are torqued properly and that the dust shields are in place. Not enough torque or no dust shields will wear out bearings quick.

Project Silvia - The Official Guide to Not Screwing Up Your Wheel Bearings Like I Did > MotoIQ > Magazine Articles

^Here is the regreasing article if anyone is interested.

Edit: Just regreased my front s14 bearings.... was not as easy as the article makes it seem. The inside shield does not pop back in all the way for some reason... I'm hoping once it's tightened to the spindle it will be good. When I took them apart the insides looked good as new but the grease was starting to turn into a nasty gel so I'm glad I got this taken care of.

Z32 new oem in the rear , Peak Performance up front. No problems. Honestly Circuit Sports should be good. I can attest to the Ichiba problem saw it on to many cars.

Incorrect. The rears are sold separate from the Hub.

^Interesting.... I made a thread(might be on another forum...cant remember) on this a while back and people were saying replacing the rear bearings was not possible and that it would most likely destroy the hub.... guess they were wrong.

At $100 a bearing might as well just buy new hubs anyway.
