Will Nismo GT LM4's Fit?

Will these fit on a 97-98 5 lug 240SX? I can't find the offsets! I'm pretty sure these are the same rims that Nissan now sells under Nismo for the 350Z.

Are they the exact same as the TE37? If so, it looks like these Nismo wheels only come in one size, whereas the TE37's come in basically every size. And I can't figure out which size they are.

Notice how TE37 is 6-spoke design and LM-GT4 is 5-spoke design.

dood
pick up the phone and make a phone call. we dont work at the dealer (though tere are 2 or 3 members who do). call our local dealer

ive seen them. they are 'safe' offsets for z33 and they look like crap. no dish at all. just flat spokes. weak.

they can odrer any size/offset you want, just lots of wait time.

Will +30 work with 9.5 width in the back and +25 with 8.5 in the front? That's the best I could find on the site but I'm about to call the dealer. I've found the dealer ones for $430 a peice, I don't want to pay the order price of $550 or even more.

I just got off the phone with Nissan America, they said "call your dealer we aren't trained for this info." So I called my dealer and they said "it doesn't give us a number in the catalog or anything." Damnit.

the LMGT4 come in different offsets.
the one listed in my hyperrev book shows the size for the S14 to be 18x8.5 +30 front and 18x9.5 +38 rear.

Okay Shit. I guess I'll help this guy out. Those sizes and width that you chose WILL work fine. But...if you are looking for the ultimte flushness that will not be the offsets to go for.

I currently run Racing Sparco's in the rear 18x9.5 with a 235 I think I forgot screched across them. I also have 2 small spacers on them. I forgot the mm of them. Anywyas it's 's roughly 30offset or 35 offset now. It's sunk like damn battle ship. Good thing they are only temporary. Anyways I'd take the offset a step down from what you were looking at.

Thanks, but the thing is I'm buying these from a Nissan Dealership so I have to get the size they have. Assuming it is that size: When you say sunk like a battleship, do you mean they are really far in the wheelwell? Can I just use spacers to get them to "stick further out?

David: Would those even fit my car? From what I've been told by someone, which could be false, on a 9.5" width I need near +20, and for 8.5" I need near +30. Or are my numbers wrong?

my 17x9.5 +22 with 235-40-17 fit FLUSH on my rear S14...flush as in, rim lip lines up with fender and tires in the fender, stock camber...

but now my fenders are pulled, so it looks a lil sunk in, just enough room to fit my 18x10 +13

So the higher the offset, the further out the rim sticks? So basically, with those Nismo's, my rim would be sticking out of the side of my car... ugly. That's another thing. I will definitely lower the car, on full coilovers, to make a 1 finger gap w/ my 18's. How will this effect my offset choices?

Thanks to all for helping a newb out!

Heh, what do you like? Tucked?

So can I just use spacers with the Nismo's then? To make them flush?

And about the lowering. How does that effect the offset, etc?

dood yoru so newbie its painful

offset isnt affected by car height.

tucked..nah, slammed.

yes spacesr but why. buy the PROPER wheels and dont 1/2 ass it. if you cant afford he proper offests, dont buy the others cuz they are cheaper. LMGT4s aer hot wheel, and what OTHER modifiactions does your car have? whats the point of sweet wheels if your car is stock bodied and burgundY? hahahahaha

Well what do you reccommend then? I've never bought wheels before so forgive my ignorance. I was looking at these, what do you think about their size? I didn't think lowering affected the wheels, outside of camber, but someone mentioned it so I figured I'd ask.

18 X 8.5 is +30 FRONT
18 X 9.5 is +22 REAR

18X8 is +30 or +38 FRONT
18X9 is +30 REAR

Last:

18X9 All Around is +35, but I don't think that will work.

Those are all the inexpensive wheels I'm looking at, If I decide I can afford it, I'll go with VOLK TE37 or the "correct" Nismo wheels.

Please give me your opinion.

BTW, 1997, DRFT Kit, Coilovers (haven't researched yet), SR20DET w/EBC BOV, etc (the basics) and still picking out exhaust. Looking for 250 RWHP.

first read this:

http://www.jspec.com/240sxfaq.html

Quote:
Which wheel size and offset you recommand?

like everything else, it's all personal taste. before you decide which wheel think of the following: what are you using the wheels for? street, racing, or show(see below). what type of person are you? conservative---just wider then stock with no rubbing and bigger look. racer type---widest possible without passing the fenders(rubbing or not depend on how low the car is, spring rate, and tire size). hard core---will do ANYTHING to make it fit. rolling of fenders, negative camber, fender flares, and stretching the tires.

WHICH ONE ARE YOU, AadosX?"

let us know and we'll talk

Thanks for the link.

I completely understand your not believing me, I probably would do the same. Either way, I thought it wouldn't hurt to let you know what my car will be like. And "one day in the future" is within a month.

Racer Type. I drive my car hard, use it. I also Auto-X once a month maybe. And go to the strip every once and a while too.

I really don't know why wheels are so confusing to me. I picked up on suspension and the engine work in a flash, I really can't explain it.

Sorry for these posts... but here's what I mean. In the Nismo wheels for the 350Z, which I'm thinking about getting, the offset is:

Front --> 18 X 8.5 +25
Rear --> 18 X 9.5 +30

It seems like that is what I'd want because since the 8.5's are smaller, I'd want them to stick out more. I dunno, please help.
