Re: Buying Nissan Silvia
Quote:
![]() Also check out enjukuracing.com for good deals on Apexi and many other types of exhausts. If what you say is true and you have an abundance of "Silvias" just lying around in Aussie(Oh I'd be in heaven) then they should come with the SR20DET engine setup which is already turbo. If not then some of the "safer" turbo setups run anywhere from 2300 to 4000, depending on how much power you want. Enjukuracing.com has 2 turbo kits for the "240sx" (American version of a Silvia with a different engine-KA24DE) that you should check out. As far as what year silvia to buy? Any year from 89-98 would be ideal for fun RWD driving. The 89-94 S13 Fastback(hatchback) model is my personal favorite just from the look, but the 95-98 S14 is the model I have and the handling and sheer fun factor is great for the buy. They also have the 2 door coupe S13 model which I've always heard is the one with the most potential as far as improveing the driving experience. The newer s14 will probably run you about 3 to 4 grand more than the S13 but you do get what you pay for, newer car, lower miles(hopefully). But from what I've seen the s13 Fastback has far more external modification possiblilites than the others. Hope this helps. Good luck finding what you want and "Welcome to the wonderful world of Nissan!!!!" Oh and to the other posters, try helping this guy out next time and not start yet another ENDLESS debate on yet another posting which will just waste this guys time.
