Question car wont start...help!

Like the title says,my car wont start for some reason.

a little recap of what happened today:

woke up and went to the junk yard to find a spoilerless hatch, found one but had a big dent on one side so i said screw it. picked up a black steering panel that goes under the dash (ned it because im swapping from blue to black interior). So got to my cousins house and put it on. Then after when i was leaving the car started to have problems. STarted up a few times but had idle paly and died. Did it a few more times and kept on dieing. Then left my car over there to go to work.
later went back and tried to jump start it with my bros car and nothing. now it doesn't start but it clicks and turnsover.

so what the hell is going on?

Did you mess with any of the wires? Maybe something to do with the light down there.

Ok yea, my situation is more retarded. I pull my car in to the garage and jack it up to change out the supsension, last side I did was the front right side by where the battery is. Finish installing the suspension and put the car back down. Tried to start it and doesn't turn on anymore. Tried push starting it and nothing. Did not touch any wire or anything. Talk about bad luck. Any suggestions?

Rev, try charging/changing your battery. It'll do that when it sits.

DRFT, did you check your fuel pump relay?

definately could be the fuel pump.

remember.. there are only 3 things that are necessary to make a car run.

Fuel
Fire
air

Figure out which one your missing, and you'll fix the problem.

hmm....seems like no one cares...but anywho i tihnk someone will read this.

So i the relay wasn't the problem. I took out my fuel pump today to have it checked by kragen. But they won't test fuel pumps, only batteries and starters. SO the counter guy tell em to hook up my fuel pump to a power source to test if it winds (spins).

So i get home and do just that. So i get some wires plug it into the power source and the fuel pump. So i power it up, after a few seconds of winding it jsut goes flat. And it winds very slow. So i think my best bet would be a faulty fuel pump.

what are youguy's opinions on this? a bad fuel pump?

I boguht a new fuel pump relay.

I went to the back of the car and unscrewed the cover, and unscrewed the fuel pump out. but beware it gets really stinky.

you can push start a automatic?

btw you get your car running?

EDIT: Do you mean fuel pump relay or starter relay? if starter relay, where is that located?

I try push start, even up to 30 mph, when i release the clutch, the whole car just came to a full stop ...

really have no idea what is going on ...

I believe the starter relay is inside the fuse Box ... am i correct ?

havent gotten a good chance to really work on the car since its X mas time.

I was bored and hooked the fuel pump back up to the power source and now the pump works. Don't know what really is going on!!!

Maybe i should check the starter relay too.

What else solutions have you heard about this problem that we have?

Ok I had the same problem, I pulled out the old pump and tested it with the car's battery and it spun. We put it back on and it spun but didn't seem to be spinning quick enough. So i'm guessing the best alternative is to change it out for a new one and hope it works.

if it were me, i would rather just take it to a shop and have them find the problem, instead of buying a new pump, which may not even be the problem..
