i love the kouki front end but not the obdII part lol. if anything i'll just do a front end conversion...but that's just me.

I was looking into that. If all fails and I actually can't find a kouki, I might go zenki and convert. I don't know yet. Still doing my research.

I like both zenki and kouki front ends. Both very attractive looking. I would settle for either. Sell to me >>:O. Theres a nice clean 96 s14 shell on craigs list for 800 bucks. Needs a front end, motor and tranny. You could put it back together stock for about 1000-1500.

Koukidrifter, I would need to tow it if I were to buy it? I found a couple zenkis that had the kouki front and a cheaper price. I'm waiting for responses from them. This search has made my head hurt. Most s14's that i have came across has swapped theirmotors out for an SR, which i don't want. I'll keep looking tomorrow. When is the next meet?

you can fly to wherever it is and drive it back, or have it shipped to you...i'm just saying for the money these guys want for their kouki's (cuz they're scarce) you might as well get a newer car, or if you're just going for the look of the front end get a cheaper zenki and buy the conversion pieces.

when shopping for an authentic kouki you have 3 choices:

-heavilly modded with the owner wanting the asking price of a new car
-beat to hell needing lots of work. they're cheaper but the cost of fixing them up negates the lower price IMO
-the rare unicorn of koukis...low mileage in near new condition, with the owner asking for the price of a new car and a vital organ or 2...like this one:

i'd actually pay that much for this one though...and never drive it lol

most people nowadays are willing to drop the extra money for an authentic kouki, but between zilvia, craigslist, and the other selling sitesi f you look long enough you'll find something.

i haven't seen a decent one sell for under 5-6k unless its busted or automatic. eh, even the autos sell higher.

I dont think it would.. Unless its a really bad Leak XD you should replace the oil pressure sensor. cheap part. Thats a really clean Kouki^^

^looks like it's an auto...you can tell by the bigger brake booster. and yeah most s14's have an sr dropped in them already. i contemplated taking out all the good stuff off my car and selling it for like 2k, and buying another s14 in a little better condition...but then i realize i'm just talking caca LOL

so that shell that loco posted is 1k...
kouki front end, let's just say 1500

motor $650
5 lug swap ~300-500 depending if you use all new or used stuff

you're already at close to 4k :P but i'm highballing the numbers. that doesn't include rims, tires, whatever aero you plan on...it'll end up being a 5-6k projects X_x

yeah NP, i made that mistake with my zenki. i bought it off clist for 4k and didnt notice the severely dented oil pan, bad bushings, pass. window that would roll down but not up, power steering leak, missing trunk carpet, and the fact that when i initially checked the vin it came up clean. out of curiousity a year later i checked it again there was an accident on the report! title isn't salvaged but still that lowers the value.

i've since checked out the bottom of the car and i've come to the conclusion the previous owner probably tried to drift the car and got in an accident...not only is the pan dented, the front subframe and a section in the middle of the car is dented too. Car came with navan sides and wing which was nice, but it wasn't installed right so water seeps into the trunk when it rains or if i wash it

so yeah don't be like me and rush lol...oh and the effin thing was a FOUR LUGGER

i like my car, got it for 2200, grandma owned, clean title, no problems at all right now,its auto but a 5spd swap is nothing
and there was a guy on craiglslist selling a green se zenki complete shell, clean title, very clean outside, for 1000, and had everything, front end, interior, i thought that was a good deal
