I used to love/hate running. I was a sprinter through middle/high school, and occasionally have me do a mid distance run. 400m dash was the worst race ever and I would always want to puke. At one point I was doing sub 5 minute miles, but now I'm 5'11'' and ~175lbs so that's prob. not happening.
I've been thinking about trying to do a half marathon this summer. I actually work at Nike so that's a huge plus. If anybody has any questions about the shoes, what kind of shoes, etc. feel free to ask.
But everybody should definitely invest in a pair of Nike Frees. And they should read the bare foot running book 'Born To Run', it is very interesting and explains the whole idea of how running shoes have essentially become a crutch for our feet and by easing into the whole bare foot ride thing, it helps prevent injuries throughout our legs.
Those Vibrams look very cool, but like I said, I work at Nike.
