Stock s13 speakers are 4x6. You may have to cut a bit of the plate, but other than that, they will fit.

I do believe the S13 sports a 4"x6" in the front door. So you shouldn't have to mod anything. The Sentra is weird too. It has a 4" x 6" speaker in a 6½" plate. Weird!

As for opening it up, you have to take off the door panel, which isn't too hard, just take out every screw you can find on the door.

Confirmed, 4x6 all around.

Access the front doors by removing the screw under a black cap towards the front of the car, and a screw under a black cover in the bottom of the inside door handle. Remove the electronics pod/door handle and the plastic doohickey behind the lever and lock. Same thing ont he passenger side, only add one more screw to get that goofy black handlemabobber off. From here, you grip the bottom of the door, there's a handy groove there already, and pull out carefully to release the snap ins.

For the hatch, both speakers are in your shock towers. Use a plastic panel tool, or carefully pry the covers up with a screwdriver. There are two snap ins, then the cover slides out. Use a ratchet or wee bitty screwdriver to get to the back screws.

You might get a clearer sound from the mids, since the cone is round instead of oval...but thats not much of a big deal, if i were him id get some nice 4x6 plate speakers (like components, sort of)

I dunno if I'd buy into the 3½" comps in a 4" x 6" plate. (don't get me wrong those 3½" woofer get it on!) I've heard with 3½" mids you don't have to buy subs... can anyone verifiy? Maybe just give up and buy a car with 6½" speakers. =P

NO, do not get the 462.3s, unless you feel like working at it. They are great for the back, as it doesn't need as much work there. But don't drop them in the front, for the amount of work to get them in, you might as well make some baffles and get some 6.5s in there.

/////ALPINE makes pretty good speakers. I don't know where you can buy them. Find a local dealer...

SPS-4629 I think those sell for $79.95.. and they are 4" x 6" speakers.

If you can't find them post a thread or e-mail me and I'll help you out!
