interesting.... the european thing sounds fishy, might be true do to facts but their are some traits that doesn't match up. could be because of generations in asian. tell me more. tell how you got this information and how i can get it.

well sorry but i grew up in a white town... and i hardly speak hmong anymore. i don't know too much about my heritage but my dad tells me war stories(vietnam) from when he was 13 and had a machine gun!

yea i'd like to know more about it too, but i've heard of different stories..
my cousin told me that the hmongs/mongolians? used to rule alot of the world and then they were spread out to rule the countries and then the emperor was murdered and the hmongs fled to other countries or something like that.

the mongolian story is semi true. But you have to remember that Mongolia has a lot of different groups, all are considered Mongolian.

Ghengis khan was a truly powerful conqueror, and ruler. It was his passing that led to the downfall of his empire. I'm not sure of the history behind that, but folklore tells about one of his own men betraying him.

Did you guys know that the last Hmong empire was Kwee Chow? This was the last Hmong capitol. The ruins still stand in the old mountains of China. This was where the Hmong made their last stand against the Chinese. Unfortunately the Hmong king was very young (teens supposedly, maybe early 20s) and thought, as an effort to save his people surrendered to the Chinese. But it was a chinese ruse, and he, his sister, and mother was brought before the Emperor and slain. That was when the Hmong fled China. There are still thousands of Hmong in south China today though.

The Hmong didn't give up Kwee Chow easily though. Numerous Chinese generals had attempted to invade the city, and none were successful. I forget the name of the general who did succeed. It took him over a year nonetheless. Kwee Chow is perched atop a mountain in China, and to reach it, one must climb over many mountain trails and brave the mountain winds. The Hmong were use to this because they have always lived in the mountains. OH! this also reminds me, Hmong people show evolutionary characteristics due to this kind of mountain dwelling. You hmong guys can wash your face with soap and open your eyes without worrying to much about the soap getting into your eyes because of the way your eyelashes and eyes are shaped. (To help against mountain weather/winds) Hmong people also walked with their toes pointed out, due to many generations of running along narrow winding (TOUGE??? hehehe) mountain ledges. (Tell me this is not true? hehehe)

I also know the entire story of how the Hmong and Chinese came together, and then became enemies. I'm not sure of how much is exact, as my sources come from Chinese history books.

although the search engines are powerfull, most of the info i got were the same. the european thing was the first time i actually heard of it. and i always thought the monglia thing was a myth because no one actually knows where the hmong came from and the fact that hmong sounds like monoglia made the myth.
