driveshaft and quick release questions

so i searched but couldnt find a definitive answer, my cars getting tuned friday and im looking toward 400+ whp. i cant really see the stock driveshaft holding it since it has that rubber joint. what are the s13 driveshafts good for? also i just ordered a nrg 2.5 qr and dont have p/s so im wondering if the extra strain will cause it too develop a lot of play

I don't get it! Are you worried about your steering shaft or your drive shaft?

even with slicks, your main concern wont be the driveshaft, it will be the stock axles/CVs snapping

You can get a solid steel driveshaft for around $300. It can tighten up throttle response slightly. An aluminum one piece driveshaft can enable you to drop 8 pounds of rotating mass and costs in the $400 range. I just ordered a one piece aluminum driveshaft on Friday, and already had one in my last car (supercharged Mustang Cobra)

dude stock driveshafts are tough as hell. you will blow your tranny to pieces before your DS goes. So when you go Z32 trans you will get the 1 piece DS that comes with the kit and you're all done!

See I'm having problems with mine when I can feel it in my seat at certain speeds or in I turn to the right for dome reason. I think my carrier bearing is going out and from I heard it would be an endless process of having to replace them so I would assume its cheaper just getting the 1 piece. So idk but I think ima have to get a 1 piece from the DS shop on eBay. Seems like it should eliminate my problem and help me in the long run lol

Oh yeah if your middle bearing is loose then that DS is shot. But regardless, HP did not cause that. 20 years of age did. Clutch kicks are much more efficient with a 1 piece DS...

Don't worry about the quick release, I got a couple friends to get the NRG quick release in their cars after they saw my set up, they have swapped hondas with no power steering and the quick release they have are fine with no play, they've had these set ups for three years.
