It's too bad this is on a shock, otherwise you could have heated them up to re-bend them.
Problem is that's thick and tough metal, it's meant to hold up the car afterall... keep doing what you're doing with the carriage bolts and torque it out far enough that it doesn't spring back enough to have to wrestle it on, and you should be ok Make sure you check them for cracks and have them professionally tigged if any appear due to the process of spreading the mounts. I agree with the others though, if you didn't get a hell of a deal, that's just not worth the effort man, especially with good deals like the megan group buy, or used QUALITY coilovers kicking around on the forums....
