No crank no start after trans swap, need help
S14 was an auto, ran and drove fine, swapped to five speed. Started it up and drove around the parking lot a bit then pulled back in. Went to start it up again and the 30A ignition fuse popped, replaced it and it popped again. I've been checking fuses, connections, and grounds, and have been repairing any damage in the wiring harness that I've come across. In the process the ignition fuse doesn't blow anymore, but I'm dealing with a no crank no start now that I haven't been able figure out. Any suggestions?

I believe you need to jump a wire to make the car think it is in Park to turn on since it was an Auto.

Starter signal line will not have constant power. If it did, then the starter would always be engaging. While testing the signal, have someone turn the ignition key and it should light up. It may be possible that the starter relay is faulty. Have you tried jumping the starter signal on the starter to confirm it is not sticking or inhibitor switch is faulty?

I meant to say the actuator on the starter. Not sure if the wiring is the same but same concept. The ignition barrel might be dirty.
