strange s15 oem hid question

ok strange issue.
so im gonna be buying someones passenger side oem hid s15 headlight and then someones driverside oem NON hid s15 headlight...
question is would it be possible if i took the ballast, projector housing and hid bulb from the broken driver side oem HID light and get that stuff to fit into the non oem hid one?
I was plannin to drill a hole in the bottom of the headlight area where you would mount the ballast (cause apparently thats what it looks like how the oem setup is, they have a hole at the bottom of the headlight where the hid bulb n harness fishes thru into the headlight internally and then the ballast covers the hole at the bottom?)
Ya i could spend like $700 for a new driver side OEM hid one to match the good passenger side one but thats a lot of fricken money just for a headlight (yes i actually thought of just buyin a new hid one). But came across this deal and wondered if its possible?

any s15 oem hid gurus out there can help a fella out and lmk.
thanks.

you can

but at the end of the day, you'll probably say to yourself that it would've been easier to just man-up and buy the proper headlight.

for one, you probably dont have the knowledge or abilities to properly disassemble the headlight AND re-assemble the headlight. most shops I know that attempt to do this work colossally fuck it up and end up attempting to seal the light with silicone, which further compounds the problem and shittiness of the job.

second, the internals of the light are going to be different... you'll need to swap over the entire, and i mean ENTIRE internals of that particular light.

like i said, just buy the proper light and be-done with.

not sure if above is serious or not.

if you know what you are doing then you could do the retrofit.

if not, i would just buy the brand new oem one for $700. you get oem quality and a headlight assembled for HID plus it's new. how much is the broken s15 headlight you're getting? I'm assuming $100-200 since that's about the amount that hid headlights from other cars go for. then material and time to do the retrofitting.

the problem is youre a fucking idiot

theres no fucking comparison between:
a) stock hid
vs
b) universal hid kit

guy has OEM HID, which is worth money because its good shit. what you are suggesting, is to keep 1 headlight OEM HID, then the other headlight halogen w/ HID retrofit.

my sugggestion to you, is to hang yourself off of the nearest tree... preferably with a rope.

iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidiot

if i was a mod here it wouldnt be fun anymore..... i'de be above the users. i like being in the trenches with you low-lives...

for one, i wouldnt lock threads or ban users. i already have a job, why would i want a second one. i hate moderators, they're good-for-nothing forum secretaries (sorry mods, you need real jobs)

second, if i did lock threads.. it will be for no good reason. ide first start with broadfield thread, because his car is rivals my build. i'de merge the kuruptr & camryonbronze threads for being twin-cars.

last.... and if ide ban users, ide probably ban brian for having too many useless posts. ide make om1krons thread sticky, just to help raise the amount of visits to his bullshit blog. and finally, i'de give driftfreaq full unlimited access to the marketplace selling WHATEVER he wants to sell (engine mounts, cars, people, coke, weed, etc), that way he'll have absolutely no excuses for not finishing his s13 project.

tell me how you really feel......lol

,.. guess i wouldnt know anything about em,. or replacing them.
just going off my personal experience in a couple cars.

most recently my g35 stock hid went out,...$300 for just the new ballast, then the bulb. Figured why not by a universal 6000K set,....couldnt tell enough difference to care

flame on i guess

edit: maybe my terminology is wrong,...but when the fuck did nissan make a halogen s15 headlight,...thought they were all projectors?
