no, Greddy has same issue for many people, but thanks for absolutely nothing. I'm wondering if the people that don't have the problem... don't have the splash shield installed.
anyway, the key to the problem is modifying the splash shield (the flat plate that is exposed when you remove the oil pan). some people even just remove it, but if nissan thanks it should be there; i'll leave it there.
i cut off the rear lip of said splash shield. there are 2 problems. one is that the lip of the splash shield that points down, hits the edge of the oil pan since its a little thicker. the other problem is that i think the baffle waffle (circled below) also hit the splash shield. but by shaving of the lip of the splash shield with a dremel tool, everything lined up perfect.
THERE IS NO NEED TO MODIFY THE OIL PAN ITSELF... SIMPLY SHAVE OFF THE REAR LIP OF THE SPLASH SHIELD.
