Help with this crazyness

OK guys sorry for making so many threads about dumb things but this circumstance is kinda rare and I did search. Anyway, on my previous post, I trimmed down an automatic speed sensor and shoved it in my s14 trans. It worked and then it didnt again after a short drive. Well I bought a manual speed sensor from a member here( thanks man) and decided to install it today. what I found was that the Automatic speed sensor that I trimmed to fit in the trans was broken. Not the sensor itself but the teeth of the gear are grided down. The white teeth gear that comes in contact with the speed sensor gear inside the trans is also grinded down by a good chunk. I installed the manual speed sensor in and it just would not work because i guess the gear will not connect with the gear inside the trans. Now my questions are...

1. is there a way to replace that white gear that comes in contact with the speed sensor gear? If so, can I just take of the tail end of the tranny to replace that part?

2. will a tail end from an s13 tranny replacement solve this problem? I have an extra s13 tranny sitting around here.

3. is there an aftermarket speedometer that doesnt require for me to use my old speed sensor. (i am aware of the expensive gps units but not really looking for those)

thanks everyone for at least reading or attempting to help. if nothing works then I will just replace my whole tranny with my s13 one and use my s14 speed sensor in it. I hope that no one will encounter this issue in the future.
