Think about it for a second. You are measure the discharge coolant temperature... Why? Nissan places both of the temp sending units for the OE gauge and ECU (which is what's controlling your timing) on the Inlet. Just b/c people like Stance produce those adapters, it doesn't make it right. Maybe easier to install but incorrect on functioning. Why do you think typical water temp gauges max out at 210-220*F? So that you will always have your needle maxed out on the gauge...? No.

I don't agree with you...

My sending unit for my aftermarket electronic temp gauge is on the Inlet. I want to know when my ECU is going to pull timing and when its dangerous. It tells me that my cooling system is falling behind on what the motor is going through. I don't care what the radiator is getting...
