I would like this so much more if the JDM rear lip was cut off and the diffuser was mounted closer. Love the meaty tires!
Just put some Mich PSS on the Evo today... so nice! Like to color of that purple kouki, but the blue rims make it look off.... go for gold!! And I think someone is going to barter you for those Bomex Side Skirts!! |

Riboflavin- ur car is nice n simple! R those rear overs?
Spooled- ur car is nice too. I love those gold sti brembos especially on a red car. Only one thing missing ![]() ![]()

I still wanted to leave the collars on because they're supposed to keep the coilovers from not bottoming out when I go over a bump. Isn't that what they're intended to be used for? Maybe to shed some light, They're the Tein Super Street coilovers.

The collars are there to keep everything tight. There are three in case you don't want to be maxed out, that way you lock two together to keep the spring tight and one to lock the strut in the mount. You only need one collar to lock against the mount if you're maxed out. There is no other purpose for them. The strut functions the same no matter what as long as you don't sag your springs and that is only an issue in the rear.

The bump stop on the strut tube keeps it from bottoming out (probably hidden under the dust boot). Removing collars won't hurt anything.

Tein SS is not like the typical coilovers of today. The more you lower them the less suspension travel there is. Its not lowered by the bottom bracket but by the spring. If he took out collars there would be nothing to hold the spring in place and would be sitting on the bump stop.

You could do without that dumb sun visor as well...Its like you car has 4 eyes and the red doesnt go with your color scheme lol.
