Yup, I think they moved the valve internally to the heater core after 96. My 95 has this and my 97 didnt. It just stops coolant from flowing thru your heater core. No hot coolant flowing thru it, no heat. If you take the valve out, you'd have constant flow of hot coolant thru your core and depending on how old your AC is, it may not be able to overcome it.

I read that too. I guess ill just buy a fitting and xtra hose for now. U cant really tell cuse will be behind the intake manifold
