anyone here stretched there piercing before? say from a 12 to a 8 guage?

The wrong way is to get a regular sized peircing,let it heal and THEN try to stretch it,if you are going to stretch it peirce than stretch. I've got some old holes that I tried stretching...doesn't work too well,I did it on a new one during its healing process,works fine. But thats just my opinion/experience.

how big was the OLD one and how big did you stretch it? over how long of a period?

It's really best to go one size at a time and let it heal in between. If you go to much at one time you'll end up with scar tissue which you don't want. After saying that you'll probably end up being fine going two sizes up. BTW, I'm up to a 1/2".

i dont know? i wanted to do it since i got my piercings ,like 5 or 6 years ago.. just never got around to it.. and since i am re-piercing some of my holes i might as well make them slightly bigger

i used to have 0 gauge in mine, ive let heal back to 8 but let me tell ya, if you do it do it quick, mine tore a lil from2 to 0 but it didnt hurt, after you stretch clean with salt water not alcohol, alcohol dries it out!

my friend has got a 00 in there, its fuggin huge, he was a smaller gauge that he had for a while that he can now put in the current hole(with the 00 in there, which is a ring, not a regular earring)with out taking the balls off the end...its crazy shit, then he got his lip pierced and almost got kicked out of the house, so he took the lip piercing out and got his car back, and his guardians are buying him rims and tires...damn i wish my guardians would do that, maybe even buy me a new car...

I went from regular piercings (I think 22g?) straight to an 8g in one session. Well my piercer didn't stick a 8g needle first, he went down 22>20>18 etc. It just depends on your ears (elasticity). The bigger you go, the tighter it gets. Some piercers try to rip you off by saying they can only go one g at a time. But yeah, I had to go 3 times to get it to my 2g, I'm planning on getting 0g next - and that's it.

and with a 22G hole, it will close. with a hole that big, it doesnt close. right?

I heard anything bigger than a 0g WONT shrink back to a normal hole (22g I believe).

0 gauge is pretty fucking huge! I think you proble mean a smaller gauge...and yes I've heard that too (about smaller gauges)

i was peirced when i was 4g. i then stretched slowly, 1 size @ a time down to a 8g, then i went from 8g to 4g and skipped 6g. the key is you have to stretch while still healing, its tears easier. btw i took my 4g's out, b/c i work in a professional enviroment now, and they shrunk back down to accomodate my 18g diamonds. it only took about 6 monthes for them to look "normal" w/o the earrings in.

so if your going low, just think about it. body modification is something to be seriously thought about.

btw: not to highjack the thread, i just got another tatoo last night, its a nautical star. i was wondering what everyone uses to keep it hydrated the first couple weeks. i've been told, cocoa butter, vasoline, bacitricin.
but right now i'm using scent-free lotion. it works pretty good so far. just now starting to scab over lightly.

Get some A&D ointment,keeps it sealed and moisturized. Its in the baby products section.Thats what my local tat. parler gives out for the first 3-4 days,after that beats me !

4 is smaller than an 8, so if you went from a 4 to 8, the 8 would probably fall out unless it was a closed loop
