What a stupid fucking post.
Did you cut your brown wire? Push the button that the brown wire is cut from and turn your lights on then off, they'll stay up. Otherwise - forum clutter, this is.

To the OP, sorry i cant be any help. i ditched my pop ups because i think they are ugly and i didnt want to bother with them breaking. i know there are aftermarket controllers that you can get that will give you control over the height adjustment. you would just have to be slightly creative with wiring it in. |

Wait, you want them to just stay up? Spin the motor by hand by turning the knob on the top of each motor until the lights are all the way up and leave them like that.
Problem solved.

What teddy said.
Must be your first car with pop ups. Not trying to talk shit but all pop up lights on just about most every car that has them (Not just 240) uses a motor that can be adjusted by hand AFTER you unplug the motors. Take assholes with high post count/low joint date (no life) on this forum with a grain of salt. Really, they dont care about you or the community. They care about themselves and want everyone to think the exact same way they do about everything. No such thing as diversity in their minds. This is a good site. It's just best to ALWAYS search before making a new thread and even if you can't find it in search and make a new thread you should ask your question elsewhere in s-chassis land because the barium enema elitist's will come police your ass with toxic brown shit sludge they call a response.

To the white knight that spoke of barium enemas and brown sludge, the elitists come to play when the OP's name is "ONEVIA SR20 welded diff", joined this month, and has his first post as a question that could be solved with a little research and brain power.

Damn there's some idiots on here. A real Silvia never had the button to control popup motors (the one on the bezel surrounding the steering wheel). If you convert a Silvia to one-via, you have to add at least one relay to control the motors, as well as the tcu (time control unit)
Now, to the op, I would remove the motors entirely and just build a fixed length rod to permanently hold the headlight buckets up in place. |

1) without any motors: I took a L shaped bracket, bent it up, and bolted it to a point on the headlight and a point on the headlight bracket in order to keep the headlight up.
here's a picture of mine, sorry this is the best I've got of this. You can get the idea. ![]() painted to show you what you're looking at: ![]() 2) If you have the motors: roll the headlights up, unplug the motors. Last edited by zombiewolf513; 04-27-2013 at 11:09 AM.. |
