Nissan's reds and deeper colors such as the one you want are not cheap. I paid about 250 or so for a quart of it, which was used on my engine bay. That was a PPG paint mix though, but obviously that's a great quality paint.

got quoted $2700 for full paint job.

not bad IMO and I have gotten work done from this shop I go to on my Lexus, so I trust.

loving rootbeer right now. Volvo S60 has this really cool red that has like orange looking seams.

That sounds about right for a legit shop doing base/clear.

I paid something like 1,600 for my paint, along with body work - but it's single stage urethane.

Are they doing the door jambs, trunk jambs and all that stuff?

paid 3500$ no jams, body work, and I have paint drips on the over fenders and bubbling paint on the side skirts/valances

*sigh*

Going back to the body shop in a few weeks to have it fixed

That IS color is actually nice. Its closer to the volvo color I was takling about. My friend had a S60 loaner yesterday and it the paint looked remarkable in the sun.

Yup, they usually paint the whole front end off the car[bumper, fender, hood], and all door jambs and trunk as well. and full body work as well. I'd say it's a legit price.
