somethings up with my ae86

Ive sear hed everywhere and cant find a single clue to whats wrong.

I was driving the car last week when my battery and brake light turned on so i checked the alternator and is pumping 8 volts. I replaced it and it was fine. As i was driving it the check engine light came on so i parked it for a week. Today i put a new battery in because it was looking a little old. I get in a as i turn the key, all power just shuts off. I turned on the headlights and they acted all crazy. One going up fast, one slow, and also taking turns going up and down. Also i hear a loud buzzing sound coming from the front of the engine bay and also under the dash but my lights wont turn on. I have not one clue to whats going on. Anyone got any suggestions?

I'm sure I could fix it up, if only it was at my workshop.

Na it cant be lol. My negative is hooked up where it grounds to the chassis and the engine. And the positive goes to starter. I cant think of anything that is wrong. Never ran into a weird problem like this

Seems like a short in the wiring somewhere. Did you see/smell smoke? I'd double check to see if your electrical wiring has rubbed against anything exposing the wire, and shorting out as it touches metal/other wires.
