I love threads like these it shows everyones different opinions and shit. personally I don't care really about what brand wheels I run right now. I have cheap wheels right now but will be saving up for a better set later. As long as I can drive my car and enjoy it I don't mind what wheels are on it. Later on down the road of course ill get my perfect set but for now im just driving the fuck out of my car.

This thread also shows how ignorant people can be. Wheels and control arms are designed to withstand so much force on them before they break, some arms are pretty strong and some aren't. As far as control arms are concerned, LCA's are usually stronger than the others but even then you do something to them that they're not designed to do, in this case drift them into a k-rail or whatever, they'll probably break, regardless if they're weak or not the driver did something stupid and is trying to pass the blame on the wheel and control arm and not accept fault by ignoring the fact that if you hit shit you're gonna break shit. This thread needs to die now.

Clearly, plastic is the way to go. I've bashed my Big Wheel into the curb a thousand times with nary a spot of damage.

Why are you asses so stuck on Work wheels? They are ok wheels that are trendy in our scene. This isn't even on some fanboy shit you ignorant people just don't seem to know anything else but tire shop bargain bullshit and the handful of wheels the car magazines told you to buy.

If you want your wheels not to break:

1. Don't run into shit.

2. Don't use wheels known to break under hard driving with no impact.

3. Buy quality wheels so in case of impact you run a higher chance of not destroying them and have a better repair outlook if possible.

When is the last time you saw a completely wrecked circle track wheel that wasn't in a giant catastrophic rollover? When have you seen broken CCW center sections or even majorly bent rims?

If this guy smashed a cast work wheel like that ANY WHEEL would have been wrecked but a better quality wheel and a wheel not made of cast aluminum may have rolled away from the accident bent to shit.

after 3 pages the OP still hasn't posted pics of the car before/after

if it was rota's the wheel would have been in 1000 pieces,
that work wheel looks like normal after hitting a k-rail

No, it's NOT normal for a wheel to break when you hit a k-rail.

That means it's a POS, ask "waxball88". Wait a minute, is it $88 or $0.88 to wax my balls? $88 seems expensive, better come with "extras" for that price...

Best post in the thread! It truly highlights the level of intelligence apparent here!

Why doesn't everyone with legit wheels just ignore people who own fake wheels. They think it works and its totally safe. I personally would not rock fake wheels but just live with it, those people who actually spend money on their car don't need to impress other people or prove a point (Let R&D from top companies do the talking). Just build your car with quality parts and forget if a bunch of kids get mad about it. Natural selection will take out the people with cheap shit in their cars that race. It's called "Darwin's law of Natural Selection" with a hint of stupid.

PS: Drifting is sorta like an exception from all kinds of motorsports, you drift into a wall at 60 miles an hour somethings gonna break regardless.
