OP did you try topping off your coolant yet?
had the same issue when I changed all that stuff & I didn't put enough coolant in.

Coming from a long time ka owner that's swapped coolant a million times on it:
Get oem thermostat.
Buy this: Lisle 24610 Spill-Free Funnel : Amazon.com : Automotive

Or install this:
Amazon.com: Circuit Sports Coolant Breather Tank: Automotive
