S13 footwell water leak
Whatsup eveyone,
I have a nagging issue with my S13. Upon my return to the car I opened my driver's side door to find a pool of water that was in this location: ![]() I also have this issue on the other side as well. There is also water where the passenger footwell curves upward to the firewall. All AC components are installed. http://i1064.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9ukcyltl.jpg Now for some extra information. Yes, the windshield is old and the seals are old. The driver's side mirror rubber is old. The door weatherstripping on both sides are new. The sunroof does not leak. The headliner is not wet in any area. Occasionally I will walk out to the car and there is condensation on the inside of the windshield. What could be the culprit? Is there a hole under the dash I've missed? Or, rather should I go about replacing the mirror rubber and the windshield components. Thanks everyone in advance. |

Guessing this happens after it rains?
I was going to say your heater core is leaking but that would be centralized on the pass. floor board. Do you notice a gap between your window and the door seal when its closed? My old vert usto be real bad about that. |

Just checked out the heater core and looks to be in good condition. The door seal looks to be good as well. I'll pull up the wiper cowl and see if anything is clogged there.

Alright everyone so I did some super sleuthing today outside. On the passenger side it looks like it's coming down in between the door and the interior door panel?? What is this witchcraft?
On the driver's side as I open the door it looks like there's water dripping out towards the front of the door. But, at the same time there's water droplet residue on the side of the dash that's adjacent to the door panel. I'll check the sunroof drainage again. This is infuriating. I just want to install my sound deadening and carpet already. Thanks everyone for your continued help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You may have done this already, but...... clean up all the water and have someone spray the car with a hose and look for where the leak is coming from. To check windshield, spray outside of windshield with soapy water around the seal, then blast shop air around the seal on the INSIDE of the car. If you see any bubbles forming on the outside of the car, you know you got a leak in there somewhere. Best of luck, water leaks can suck. |

Thanks guys, you all are awesome. I tried what NEDriftah suggested and it's actually coming from the gap between where the top point of the mirror triangle rubber trim breaks and the roof trimming begins.
So I guess I need to get new mirror trim? Or new doors? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
