jz no starty
Trying to start vvti 1jz out of a '97 chaser.
Cranks strongly but will not fire. What I've tried so far: -added chassis to engine grounds, grounded ecu -confirmed ecu works -used starting fluid (starts with this) -checked fuel pressure before and after the rail , 44psi -had fuel injectors flow tested, all 6 work -checked electrical signal to injector via noid light all work -confirmed motor has spark, tested via spark plug out side of motor I have not checked compression or timing due to the motor starting and running for about 2-3 seconds when I spray starter fluid into the intake mani. Thinking vaccum line leak? Thoughts? |

Do you have the fuel lines mixed up?
Pull the plugs and crank the motor over. See if you can smell or see fuel coming out of one of the hole.
