Bump to keep this thread visible for others considering RS Enthalpy. Nothing but good words to say about Martin. I bought a used RS Enthalpy ECU off Zilvia and had troubles with it. Sent it to him and he informed me that the ECU had burned connections. Sent him a good, non-tuned ECU out of the car and he moved the daughterboard over. Once I got it back it fired right up and ran great.
Then I had some unstable AFR's and lean conditions under boost. He helped me stabilize my AFR's (hotwiring the fuel pump) and I've now just received my adjusted tune. I will update this post with how it runs. |

I love my tune I got from him last year and didn't have any issues at all! He even flew to a local shop and did a dyno day with multiple cars and got a more specific tune! Anyway martins a great guy with good customer service

Martin is a great guy to deal with. His knowledge of these cars is first class.
I'm a old time dsm guy who has always tuned all my own cars. I used Martin to tune the Nissan as I didn't want a full standalone on a daily driver car and heard good things about him. He is very communicating with me while tuning the car as I'm not used to some else doing it and I know I can be a bit of a pain. But he does a great job and always answers all my questions. He builds great motors also for anyone needing one. There are only but a few people I highly endorse in the car world between dsm's and nissans and Martin is definitely one if them. Very lucky to live just under a hour from him.

![]() This goes to all SAFC users: do yourself and your engine a favor : throw that piece of crap in the nearest bin. What is does is altering the MAF signal to make the ECU believe there is more/less air going in. Problem is, that MAF signal is used to compute the "load" of the engine (TP value), and that value is used as an axis on the main and secondary fuel map AND timing map, amongst other things. Lowering fueling by changing the TP value means you are most likely to be adding timing advance. Enriching usually does the opposite... usually, because there is a reason there are TWO distinct maps with the same axis : the values between the fuel map and the timing map are not proportional. SAFC users don't know anything about tuning, because anyone who does would not touch an SAFC, even with a pole (a hammer is ok though) that being said, if you want a spot on tune, SORT THE CAR, then get it tuned on a dyno. There is no other way. If you can be satisfied with a conservative, generic tune, then get a rom tune. And by all means, if you don't know enough about engine tuning to do it yourself ... DONT do it yourself with an SAFC... |

Popping by to leave good words for Martin at RS Enthalpy as well.
I sent him an SR ECU. He put a ROM tune on it and sent it back. The shipping company delivered the package to the wrong address (but they didn't realize it for a few days). Not sure whether the shipping company was employed by morons or if the package had been stolen off my doorstep, I called Martin and explained my situation. He offered to just tune one of his spare ECUs and send it to me at no extra cost (but fortunately I sorted out the mis-delivered package issue before Martin went through the extra hassle). If that's not good customer service, I don't know what is.

I bought one of his "used" ecu's from the website, had it tuned for my setup, 740/Z32/T3t04E, plugged it in and fired it up first try. car runs perfect.
I don't recall email communication lacking on his part, there was more lag on my end getting back to him

I've been happy with mine for my basic Ka-T setup. Started right up and has been great ever since.

Had his ROM tune in one of my 240's, the car was SR powered with S15 turbo, injectors and some other goodies. Daily driven on it for years with ZERO issues. The setup made great numbers on the dyno as well. If and hopefully when I build my next car, i'm going to him for another rom tune.

From my understanding, Martin no longer works at Z-Fever. Will he still be tuning ECUs and if so, what about dyno tuning?

I have experience with over 50 enthalpy tuned cars. I coordinate dynotuning for RS-Enthalpy in the NW.
My car runs roughly 600hp 500tq on an SR with an enthalpy ECU. If your AFRs are off, there's something on your setup that's off. My car took 2 pulls from the mail order tune. ALL we did was add 1 degree of timing at higher RPM to get a little more power. Coudl get away with it due ot thunderbolt race E85. So not E70 like most "E85" is. If you have any questions feel free to hit me up. I keep seeing martin help Z-Fever with tunes. But Martin mostly works out of his own shop: RS-Enthalpy. |

Martin is not a employee of Z Fever. He simply tunes for them and uses their dyno to do his own tuning. But he also tunes at Proven Power off I4. Martin ( RS Enthalpy ) is independent of any shop. ALZax that sucks if your E85 is typically E70. Our E85 here test 84-85% every time it's tested here. Well at least at the 2 stations here we use.

Hmm that I'm not sure of. I could have swore he was still doing tunes at Z Fever but he's out of the country till early July at the moment. I'm waiting on him to get home to retune this motor for the higher compression.

Yeah I just run race E85. It works amazing, and it gets shipped in sealed barrels.
Thunderbolt Race Fuel E85 is what I run. It smells really good too, like berries lol. He just tuned a car at ZFever the other day. Look on RS-Enthalpys facebook. |

Martin has tuned two of my cars now,
one stock VH Z32, and my S15 SR in an S14 with basic upgrades like fuel pump, injectors, turbo, mild cams, etc. Everyone who said he has great customer service, is correct. Everyone who said his AFR's are spot on, is correct. He is extremely knowledgable, and will give you any advice and help you need, even late at night. Plus one for him also being a Polak.

Bump this thread for future reference for anyones looking for an ECU tune/reflashed. Have heard all the good feedbacks for Martin. Glad that I'm local and will have my car tuned with him as soon as I get the tax return lol.
RS Enthalpy rocks!!

Are you asking if a stock ECU can be flashed to do flex fuel?

No you cant run flex fuel with stock ecu. He can however do a dual map with a manual switch to change maps but that will mean you need to drain the tank when you switch

i have a manual swaped spec r s15, it has all the basic bolt ons (fmic, 3"exhaust, intake, boost controller) i was wondering if it is worth it to throw a enthalpy tune in it at this point?
also should i go to to a local tune shop after to fine tune the car on a dyno? |

I would get either some 550 or 740cc injectors first, and then get the car tuned for them with an RS ECU. My buddy made 300whp on an S13 SR with a T28, 550's and a tune. There are numerous other example of that on here too.

I had purchased a used RS Enthalpy tunes ecu from a fellow member and Martin was nothing but helpful with mine. I just purchased another one for my new set up. Looking forward to getting it installed.
Martin's customer service is top notch!!
