Well, a more specific question would be. How can I get my car to look as clean as yours? Just looking at your sig. It looks like it came straight out of the factory. What did you do or use to fit the front end?

A pic of mine.

Also, have you ever done a full dash? I have a HUD dash that is cracked just about everywhere. You have any recommendations on how to fix it or what to do with it?

LOL, I'm not really sure how to answer your question. I guess the perfect answer is: pay me to make it as clean as mine! So a 1000+ hours and $70,000... you would then have my car.

As far as the front end, I'm also not sure what you are asking!?! I mean, I bolted the thing on and micro adjusted until it fit the way I want. The fenders, hood, bumper etc can all be adjusted for proper alignment... obviously assuming that all of your panels are in good shape and not bent etc.

As for the dashboard, I would highly recommend trying to find another one. Otherwise it's going to be a ton of work, cost at least $100 in materials just to fix it, won't come out as good as having a replacement dash board and will most likely just crack again somewhere else.

Only reason I'm undecided is I don't know how to transfer the CEL signal to an led, and what other warning lights are absolutely necessary.

Pillar pods and those things that mount in front of the cluster on your column are out. Looks like too much clutter IMO.

Send me an email at: [email protected] and we can discuss this in full. I can also shoot you a quote on the gauges... as I offer 15% off their website pricing. Don't be afraid of the CEL etc.... those are very simple to hook up to the new indicators that I use in my clusters.

So Broadfield,
I have an s13 and got my stock hvac unit(a/c unit) fitted with LEDs, lighting looks great.
Only issue I'm having now is the hot and cold colored part on the face (red/blue) has faded and I want to bring back that red and blue. How would you go about doing this?

Also, what paint do you use to repaint the stock black trim pieces(radio trim, cluster trim, etc..)?

Hello Mr Broadfield

I am writing because I am a deeply concerned customer. I have patiently waited 3 years, 6 months and 17 days and still have not heard back from you regarding my motor swap. You promised that you would help me install a Lexus LFA V10 motor and after all this time, I have heard nothing.

My analogue gauge cluster cannot rev as quickly as the motor, and its imperative that you build me a full digital cluster that is CAN-BUS compliant and will work with my LFA engine.

Please write back, otherwise I have absolutely no choice other than to contact PAYPAL and initiate a charge-back dispute for the large sum of money ($18.99 USD) that we agreed upon for the aforementioned LFA engine swap and gauge cluster build.

A little common courtesy such as an e-mail response is not much to ask. Please note however, my e-mail has been down for the past 4 years. It may be easier to contact me via Telegram service to:

ClearCorners LFA V10 Project

Thank you and have a nice day.

Sup Broadfield. I was wondering if you got a chance to upload the write up on the Z pedals swap on to the S13 yet?

Hello Sir

I have a few questions. I am looking for alarm for my 1991 Hatch and was looking at the 5904v.

My main question is when I add the sensors for proximity, glass break, and ect would I need a bitwriter to change sensitivity and such?

Also when I go to add a Viper smart start module it would be plug and play besides activation correct?

Also can you please PM a price on a 5904v thank you.

Edit: just saw the 5906v is the out.

No time unfortunately... it's really low on my priority list.

Is there a way to wire an LED strip I will be using as footwell lighting to work like the dome light? To turn on when the door is open, or switch em just to on/off?

I suck at wiring haha

Come on man, this has been done so many times. Search a bit first...
http://mazda3revolution.com/forums/2...-footwell.html

Same basic idea but use a relay instead of a switch. Cheap switch's are lame, take some time and learn some electrical basics. Here's something on electric relays.

Hey Toby, random question for you, i just purchased some power folding mirrors and are on their way from the land of the rising sun as we speak. But my question for you is; i remembered seeing this guy make his power folding mirrors "Sync up" with his alarm, so that when he armed his alarm, the mirrors folded up, and when he unlock/unarmed the car, they folded back out.

Given its on the his sorta funny talking alarm, so bare with me (its about 35 second in).

Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pu4n...49k3l4ntPIuIBg

My question to you, is how would one go about doing this, with a stock or aftermarket alarm? I know that's a fairly loaded question, but basically i want this to work on my setup, while maintaining my stock alarm. My concern though is, if running its off some sort of relay trigger system that (due to an old habit of constantly checking to make sure my car is locked) it may cause the mirrors to fold back out again, even if the car is locked, simply due to pushing the lock button twice. (if that made sense...)

I'm starting to look for this dudes build thread (if he has one) to see how he did it, but i was curious to how you would go about tackling such a project. You don't have to go in depth, but i guess some suggestions at where to start would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

-Kyle

I'm not familiar with the switch for these windows, but once you have them installed and working, you simply need to test which wires are the trigger wires. Then you can easily trigger them with the Viper outputs. I need to know if there is a trigger wire for both open and close... and what polarity that trigger is.

Looking to do something like this with my S13 cluster using the GPS Speedo and the same gauges shown. Whats a ballpark figure for what this would cost to have you make it? Price of Gauges alone?

Also what size gauges are those?

Thanks

If you give me your full name and email address, I'll send you an itemized quote. This particular customer did not do Revolution gauges for the water temp and fuel level... do you want me to quote you for Revolution on those two gauges? That way you will have programmable warning lights on those also. Are you wanting all of the same gauge attributes? If so, what color do you want the font to illuminate?... green, red, light blue, dark blue or white?

The gauges are 2-1/16" and 3-3/8"

EDIT: Are you wanting the turn signals and high beam indicators built into the speedo or separate like in the example you posted? FWIW, it's considerably cheaper to have them built into the speedo.

Hey Toby, since this is something that i feel you would know much better than me, or pretty much anyone on Zilvia.

Could you recommend a double din? Screen that fits the factory s13 240sx the best. Here is the catch, it must have VGA or composite input available, i know most new unit's are doing away with that technology. Thanks.

All double DINs are exactly the same size... hence them being a "double DIN". So one brand is not going to fit better than another. The issue is that the S13 radio opening is larger than a double DIN by a tad bit. So if you simply ISO mount the radio then you will have a slight gap all the way around it. If you want a perfect fit, then you would buy a unit that comes with a trim ring... like an Alpine. Then use the trim ring on the radio and mount the radio into the OEM brackets so it sits behind the OEM radio trim panel. I like to grind the interior wall of the radio opening on the OEM trim panel so the radio doesn't sit back so far. This procedure is how I did the radio in my S13. Unfortunately I don't really have any good pictures of it, but hopefully you can tell from these few below. As far as audio/video input, every single double DIN screen radio out there still has at least one composite input. I highly doubt the composite input will go away any time soon.

Thank you! I will have to look into it some more. I just know i've heard you reference the oversize hole in the S13, and didn't know if you ever found a double din that seemed to fit the area better than others. Thanks for the help.

I am making a custom Cluster to hold a Racepak/MXL Digital dash in an S14

What is the best material to use, and how do you attach it to the factory cluster frame?

sorry if this has been covered, but thanks a ton!

Correct on the sandwich, but on the S14's I also use some micro screws on the bottom that go through the black trim into the MDF.

I was wondering if you would be able to fit/ replace a Stack ST8120 cluster inside a S13 dash ? Thank you.
