I've always found tons of fun stuff there in almost every 240 I've owned.

The dirt really took me by surprise. I didn't believe there could be so much of it.

That's really funny because before I painted my car, I reached down there, and found an old shoe, a toy train, about a dollars worth in coins, a socket wrench with 10mm socket attached, and a bunch of dirt.

hahaha! I've found so many of my tools in that space in my fastback.

....I found a bunch of unused tampons in my coupe when I first got it.

I really lightened my crank pulley. The PO must have loved the beach. The pulley was caked to the face with sand. I still have the stock belly pan. I have no clue how that much sand got in there. My friends say it's normal for FL. But, I must have got 3 Lbs of Dirt, sand, grease out of there.

Ahh yes the black hole, in the last 240 the previous owner had wired the car for a radar detecter so it'd be hidden and easy to plug in around the visor... He said he had lost the radar detector. Anyways 6mo. later cleaning out the blackhole one day i found this case w/a radar in it... Cheap shitty thing but it worked....Musta been wedged deep in there... crazy sheeit

there are 2 black boxes with a little plastic flapper in them. One box on each side of the car. The flapper is inside the box, and goes against a sreen (~1" squares made of the same plastic material.)

It's seem as if it will allow air into the car, but not out. not sure what the hell the purpose is.

haha, I dug around in there when I first got my car.... I found a Journey cassette tape, and a half consumed can of Coors Light, a rusty razor blade and a bunch of random nuts and bolts.

I can just imagine my car flying down gravel roads Dukes of Hazard style. (we need a yeee haw type of smiley)
