V8 Swap cost
Alright guys, I got offered a good offer of a s13 coupe + cash for my car.
How much is the LS swap into a s13? I have a block already, all taken apart. And I'm looking at kits other than sikky because close 4K+ just for a swap kit is insane. Let me know for you guys personal experience and how much it was. I still need to buy all the pieces for the LS. I just have the block, oem pistons, rods. Thank you! I can look into other swaps too but the LS seems the most economical/ power to money output seems the most worthwhile |

Honestly, You're looking at 3-5k either way you look at it. Stuff adds up man, by the time you figure out your fuel system and engine management. Its not cheap.
Also, there was a thread on this recently. |

The swap cost will depend on a lot of factors including how much work you can do yourself, what transmission and parts you choose, what heads you choose to go with etc.
I am pretty sure someone people have put the swap cost at a range of $6-10k on average. I know a few people who have gone forced induction with the LSx and the cost increases into the $14-18k range. Figure out what your goal is and what the car will be used for. This will give you a good starting point to begin brainstorming cost. |

It was probably my thread from 2 weeks back. But I'm getting offered 9k + the shell with coils for my car. The car isn't banged up, just needs a new paint job as its old man tan with some sun spots. I'm just seeing how much the swap will actually cost me |

I would say at least 5k for a base swap, minimal frills.
I think my friends t56/ls1 cam'd vette swap ran him about 10k

I've personally done it on my car, didn't cheap out on anything and used nothing but the best parts. it put me in the 20k price range after everything is said n done. heres a link 2 my build thread I'm a shitty updater on the thread tho. but if u don't skimp out anywhere and do a good job it'll last you forever. i have my 4th season on my Ls setup with nothing but oil/plug changes and I LOVE IT

I'm at roughly 6k right now with my S13 and I'm not even buying unnecessary things. I have basically the driveshaft and wiring left
