You are better off finding used ones. New SSRs are rediculous expensive, especially since Meshies are so easy to find.
And I suggest 16x7 +0 16x8 +15, or something along those lines (also consider 16x8s if not 9s, you'll appreciate it later on), kinda depends on your camber situation. the 16x7 +27 is gonna look bad with even the mildest of camber.

How do you plan on lowering it. If you go coilovers, you are going to see anywhere from stock camber (~1 degree) to 5 degrees, depending on the coilovers and alignment. In the rear you'll get quite a bit if you slam it hard, but then again there are RUCAs.
Choosing camber depends on what you want to do with it. if you search 15x7 +0 (or something along those lines) you will find lots of pics of cars with wheels in that offset (it was a popular offset). Search for the wheel offset thread and you will see plenty of different pics. Whoever told you +20 on a 7 has never put +20 on a 7, or is just telling you this to be on the safe side. I would at least get 16x8 all around though. Something like +10 to +25 all around. This topic has been beaten to death, so I suggest searching around (first stop should be wheel offset thread, its long and full of pics and offsets). Just keep camber differences in mind.

You don't need at least a +20 offset, but it's what would look aesthetically pleasing. I'd agree 16x8 +10 would a good size. Just depends if you care how flush your wheels are, how big the lip is, etc. If I was ordering those wheels, I would hope I was getting the right sizes.

aight thanks! and yea im going to slam it pretty hard...not to the point of tucking anything but ya. I want zero wheel gap and I want a 16" rim nothing larger nothing smaller. And I could either run 16x7 and 16x8 or 16x8 and 16x9. Either way it doesnt matter and with that said I just need a safe offset that isnt going to rub.

I have +20 on a 7" rim and it looks fine.
I'm starting to doubt it's +20.. it may be anywhere from +20 to +10, but the back of the wheel says its +20.... :P Honestly I don't like +0 on a 7"... it fits pretty nicely but the car needs to be slammed and have the right size tire for it to be perfect. IMHO. You just need to poke around, look at cars and decide what you like. |

16x8 all around would be nice for tire rotation and more of a daily driven setup. not neccessarily drift-setup but for me 16x8 all around sounds nice for road racing.

Hey man
I just picked up a set of used SSR reverse meshs in 16x8 +26 all the way around. They look hot on the car and sit very flush.. They rub in the front on full lock, I have stock suspension and whiteline sways. Here is a pic of the +26 lip, I haven't uploaded the shot that shows how flush they are... ![]() TakumiProject mentioned above seems to be a good company, I've spoke with MAS over there and he's a real helpful & nice guy. Last I checked they didn't have any SSRs in 16 and 4 lug, but they were expecting a new shipment. Give him a call or email after you look at their inventory on their site... |
