It was pulled from an s13 so if this will be used in an s14, the exhaust will need to be slightly modified. I originally purchased this LS1 as a short block. The bottom end was disassembled and I had the crank polished and spec’d for new main and rod bearings. The block was inspected and had new cam bearings installed by a local machine shop. The cylinders still had some of the factory hone hash marks visible but the machine shop did a very light hand hone job since the block was bare and installed new rings and bearings on the original pistons and rods with ARP rod bolts. The heads are 799 castings which are identical to the LS6 243 heads. These were installed with GM Performance MLS head gaskets, ARP head bolts, COMP Cams dual valve springs, and COMP Cams hardened pushrods. The cam is an aggressive cam by COMP as well and sounds amazing. After the engine was built and installed, the car was street driven 600 miles to and from work for break in before put on the dyno or driven hard. The car was professionally tuned by Forrest Luster in Memphis, TN on a dyno and put down a very nice power figure with 421 hp and 389 lbft tq making over 300 ftlb at 2500 rpm. The finalized numbers are limited by fuel and there is more power to be had with a bigger set of injectors. The engine had 6 drift events on it and was pulled after the car was wrecked. All the sensors, alternator, starter, pulleys, throwout bearing, etc. were new when the engine was built. I planned on putting this all into another shell but I don’t have the time to rebuild any time soon so I am letting the whole swap go. The swap is located in Memphis, TN Transmission and clutch not included! $4000 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by C. Bump.......
This thing comes with the tuned computer for this configuration. It was professionally dyno tuned which cost $800 alone. The setup is very streetable and got surprisingly good MPG with the t56. |
