KA 98 5spd tranny on 90' ka24e engine??

hey sad to say but i got an auto 90 w/ ka24e wondering if 98ka24de's tranny will work with my crappy ka24e...i wanna drive my ka24e stick until i can afford a 98ka24de......any advice tips anything!! haha im a 240sx noob
