Gauges Qs for stock SR
Now that my SR is in and running, I need some gauges, notably boost and oil pressure. I was thinking of getting a third, EGT seems pretty popular, but is it really necessary for a non-highly tuned SR? Even with mods, I probably won't go past 250hp and the stock T25 for a long time.
How does a EGT help you monitor engine performance anyway? From what I gather it's just an alternative to an air/fuel gauge. Do greddy electronic oil pressure and egt gauges still require drilling to mount a sensor in the engine compartment? Thanks |

yes it is but it actually has use the egt is based on mixture temp rises on lean condition and drops with richer mixtures
it gives you a signifigantly more accurate meter of AFR than anytihing except a wideband
