Yea might as well do it when you lower it and save yourself a lot of trouble down the line.

i have prokits with no camber plates or anything, got the car alligned, and everything is within factory tolerances. it is true though that if you go with too big of a drop you will have to buy some extra hardware to "fix the problem."

I have a '97 with sportline springs. I got an alignment twice (I stood there and watched the second time), The rear will be fine, but the front will need a camber kit! There is no stock camber adjustment for the front of the s14's. I have had my springs for 3 months and the tire wear is horrible.
Also, you will need to do an alignment a few months later since the springs will settle and the camber will go bad.

I had ground control coilovers on my old civic and didn't get a camber kit or anything. About a year later one of my Yoko Paradas blew out while I was driving. The tires were down to the steel belts on the inner side of both the front wheels. (Luckily only one blew) So when I go to lower my 240 I'm going to be real careful, tires are too expensive to be blowing out every year. BTW, it was lowered about 1.5 all around.

A lot of cars it is obvious when the camber is off, I can see on my friend car it is off, and he knows it is, but he likes to corner so hard he actually manages to wear the tires close to flat... but you can see it when it is off enough to hurt your tires... How many differnt people make camber kits for an s14 though?

I know of Ingalls and pdmracing but thats it. Gonna get mine aligned on monday and then we will see if I need a kit. My local Nissan Dealer does aftermarket mods for our cars and they lower them all the time. They know the factory settings also and tell me that I won't need a kit but if I want one they will gladly get one for me. Usually the dealer wants to do unnecessary work so I assume that it really doesn't need one if they tell me not to!

I did not need a camber kit. I have the specs and all four wheels are easily within factory settings. Only need the kit if the drop is more than an inch and a half. If it is more than you probably want the camber adjust kit, but other wise it CAN be fixed through factory adjustment. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='

I have Pro Kit Springs. I took it to a Nissan dealer to have it alligned after I installed them. One year later I had to have new tires. Maybe it is my fault for not having it alligned after they settled? So I bought new tires and had it alligned again. I watched the guy do it. Front was easily w/in specs but rear is just barely in. (Anyone know if tire size has anything to do with this because I have wider tires on the back?) So I bought the PDM bushings and hope to get them in soon and then realign. Get the shop to give you a printout of what your allignment is so you'll know for sure.
