I just had that problem. If it is the same thing, you will get sporadic boost, then hear the exhaust leak as your boost cuts out.

It will progressively get worse to the point that you aren't boosting anymore at all, your car sounds louder than a Nascar, and slower than an 80's honda civic.

That is the condition I drive my car in currently even though I have the new gasket sitting in my passengers seat.

I am too lazy to do it, plus I figure I will screw something up and then not have transportation. At least it is still drivable at this point.

Just waiting until I have at least 3 days in a row off. (which means it will never get done....anyone want to make $100 to do it for me?)
