Thats basically it. Your just reading if there is loss of vaccum. Which you can read from the engine bay by routing any vaccum gauge from the bay to check. You can check for hesitation problems or irratic idling etc. I dont know why you want to be reading loss of vaccum ALL the time unless you knew your lines were fucked up or something but i highly doubt it. I heard about people doing this a while back but it boggles my mind like some of you.
