Hey im going to get bucket seat for my 240 but need to get brackets. If i get the side mount bracket will they bolt directly into my old bracket holes or does it mount up in another way? I have never put in a race seat so im not really for sure what to do here?

Here is the site i think im going to get them from including the seat.

side mount brackets r universal, so chances are they will not line up. also, these brackets r flat at the bottom..... i don't know if the 240 floor is flat or has raised areas....?? if it does have raised areas, u just have to "space up" the other corners to even out .

what seats r u buying?? cuz Sparco does make bolt-in slide brackets for the 240.....well worth the $$, unless u have ur mind set on the side mounts....they r pretty cool!

Skyline seats? Do they fit in a 240sx without any modification? Will an r34 gtr seat mount right up to a 89 240sx fastback stock location?

Jesse

I've heard Bride makes some GREAT gliding seat rails for the 240 that are not suppose to raise the seating height at all. They are contoured to the floor of the 240. The sparco rails supposedly raise the seat up quite a bit. I've heard that if your over about 5'10" you won't fit with those rails.

Sparco Adjustable Mount will let you raise and lower the seat a bit.
Sykikchimp - can you point me to a spot state side that can get bride seats... or any bride products? I have been looking for a while and have you to find anything.

AJ, most rigid racing seats (ie Corbeau Forza etc) sit lower, have deeper seat bottoms, less thick padding. most recliners (ie Corbeau Carrera etc) sit up higher than the rigid's, have shallower bottoms, and thicker padding. the universal side mount brackets typically place the seat lower than if you use the slide tracks that fit the car (ie Corbeau, Sparco etc).

Corbeau's site has dimensions on all their seats http://www.corbeau.com (see each ind seat listing)
Sparco too http://www.sparcousa.com/sizechart_seat.htm

hope that helps
