You will have to bolt the KA bellhousing to the SR tranny, but it should work.  I have no idea what you would have to do to the wiring.  Probably just have to figure out which wires where wich and splice them together to the correct wires..  Like speed, and rpm, etc..

If you'e going to get the SR tranny, why not shell out a few extra for the whole front clip. You might run into gearing problems with a tranny setup up for a car with a turbo application with about 250 hp put on a N/A setup with only 155 hp. Unless of course you have a nice turbo setup on your ride &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Good luck bolting the KA bellhousing to the S15 6speed. The 6speed is completely different than the 5speeds. You can't even bolt the SR 5speed bellhousing to the 6speed.

Yeah, what that guy said. &nbsp;And....
The s15 speed sensor is in the differential. &nbsp; You won't have a clue how fast you're goin without a new spedo.

You're misunderstanding. Any of the SR20DET (S13,S14,S15) engines will bolt up to any of the SR trannies (5sp, 6sp). An SR tranny will *not* bolt up to a KA engine, though, unless you swap the SR tranny's bellhousing with one from a KA tranny. Unfortunately, this swap is not possible with the 6sp, as the tranny housing is so completely different.

Im fairly sure that tranny swap wouldnt work. You may as well just do the SR20 sway. May I also recommend not getting the S15 blacktop because the 6spd tranny is not all people make it to be.

Are you joking? Is this a desperate scream for attention?

Kid, why the hell would you want a six-speed anyway?

It was my understanding that both the 5 and 6 speed tranny's were the same size. Which is why 6 speed's are said to be weaker because they had to make the teeth on the gears smaller to fit the same size. &nbsp;I don't know if ANY sr tranny will bolt up to the KA but I imagine, given the info I've seen, that if you could put a 5spd sr tranny on a ka, you could use the 6spd as well.

AAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
(Yes, S13Grl, that is *my* scream for attention)
SR trannies do not bolt up to KA engines. Read my post above; if it was my opinion, then I would've noted it as being such. It's not, though; it's fact. Here's a picture that might help. It's an S15 6speed tranny. I don't have a picture of a 5speed for comparison, so if someone out there does, please post it up, so that it will become very obvious that The Bellhousings Can't Be Swapped.
