SR Dynod My Stock S13 Redtop Tonite

Well I was pleasantly surprised. At stock boost no boost controller I made 204 whp. 193 wtq. Only mods are a z32 maf, clutch and 3 inch turbo back exhaust. timing was left stock. 2 bad news things- i blew my water pump while I was on the dyno. (my guess is that there was air in the system) other bad thing- my car after I shut it off when its warm it doesnt want to start for a few minutes. weirdest thing though. If i unplug one or two of my injectors it will start sooner. hmmmmmmmmm. I must say I am upset i didint get to take it for a beat run but hey its meant to be. Im still missing a few things though so this is for the best. anyone else suprised by these numbers? i definatly thing 230-235 whp is possible at 14 lbs.

your shoud replace your coolant temp sensor...the sensor is telling the ecu false info and it's dumping a ton of fuel, which would explain why it starts sooner when you unplug some of the injectors. check the ecu for codes, check the wiring and then check the sensor. my stock sr at stock boost with 3" back made 200whp and 194wtq. good luck with everything...

TheTimanator " what you useing to control the z32 maf"

either way that motor is not stock, unles u mean stock block.
that seems a little high in the #'s for lacking a front mount, do you have a water sprayer?, AFC to increase the fuel to make that kind of power at stock boost?
I put down 184hp, filter, downpipe, high flow cat, 3in exhaust. 20hp from a z32 maf?

I know with safc, frontmount it can make 20whp more then my setup. but just a maf itself?

thats what i was getting at. you have to have something to control it so i was thinking that maybe he had some tuning done with a a/f controller or something. i could see those numbers with a fmic

from what i understand you don't actually gain power from running a Z32 maf it's just not limited as much as the factory maf

is it that hard to believe that he has a good strong running motor? lol. look at the location, MA. It's cold up there.

My friend with a WRX had a stock top mount IC. It heatsoaked like a bitch durring the spring and summer just city driving. Now, the IC is ALWAYS icey cold.

What kind of dyno machines were these run on?

I know that Mustang Dynos and Dynojets have different readings with the latter having higher numbers.

well its funny you say that the dyno I go to is a mustang dyno. it reads about 15% lower than a dyno jet. I put down 178 whp on the mustang dyno. but corrected to dyno jet its about 204whp. and I have an e manage running the z32 maf. i did no tuning at all on the e manage. my tuner tunes conservative so he was a little suprised at how lean of a mixture the stock ecu settings are it was pretty much 12.5 across the board under boost and i was at the stock boost (what ever it may be some say 7 some say 11. vaccum from wastegate to intercooler piping). as for the intercooler it is from and old volvo. but believe me its a good setup. i will have to get pics. its a hundred times better then the stock sidemount. its almost as if it was made for this car. its goes where the radatior goes and the inlet is directly acroos from the turbo and the outlet is directly across from the throttle body.

I got the same amount...178 whp on a T25 tuned at 7psi on a SAFC... 12-12.5 A/G across the board. same modz. What was your numbers before the tuning?

Damn nice #'s
My friend did 200hp and 201tq on a stock s13 blacktop, on 12psi, exhaust and intake.

What do you guys think a stock s15 sr, on 8psi, exhaust, dumppipe, intake, and frontmount would put down? I am about to drive it this afternoon for the first time so I cant make a guesstimation just yet. I dont even know what its boosting, but I am predicting 8psi.

Get pics for the Volvo intercooler!

I assume it's from a 740, i dont know about ~1985 240gl-t's but i do know know about half the 740 turbo's dont have an intercooler. which is messed up from a technical standpoint.

btw 740 turbo's are a good source for used decent size oil coolers
